Practical Information
Did you know?
For several years, the Tavernes have been participating in the collective effort to limit the environmental impact of the festival, by offering dishes that are partly reusable. You can also come with your own cup! Drinking water points are also available to fill your bottles.
In addition, butts boxes are distributed at the information point and at the taverns. You can also drop them off at collection points to recycle them into street furniture.
COME IN COSTUME
Visitors can wear costumes if they wish! The organizers simply require that the attire be medieval, of course.
Note: On Saturday and Sunday, the city’s three museums are free for those in costume and for children under 10! More information at bayeuxmuseum.com.
PRICES
The event is completely free*: entertainment, shows, concerts… A strong choice on the part of the municipality, which makes the Bayeux Medieval Festival one of the leading events in France on this theme.
* Except for products on sale in the taverns and the medieval market.
