The Bajocasse city is proud to present one of the rare large parades of its kind in France.

For this 38th edition, water will be the primary element of our festivities. The public will be able to see, hear, and admire a multitude of stilt walkers, acrobats, soldiers, companions, artisans, and farmers, all accompanied by vibrant music and rhythms.

With more than 500 participants—companies, artists, acrobats, and associations—the large parade is an unmissable event, a spectacular and magical moment for everyone!

A fun and educational reconstruction of soap making to explore hygiene at that time, its uses and customs. The soaps produced will be scented with local materials found on site and will bear the name “Sapo Augustodurumensis” (from Augustodurum, the ancient name for Bayeux).

Gisle is the only replica of a Viking sailing ship entirely handcrafted using period techniques found in France. Leita at Bardagi will explain the ship’s history, from archaeological excavations to its first trials. They will also discuss the ship’s importance to the Vikings and the Normans (transport, trade, fishing, raids, etc.).
